Any of you guys ever used Snell golf balls? I had a buddy tell me about how affordable they are and how much he liked it. I went online and read about them and read how the guy who makes them made the Pro V1 and other golf balls. Just wanted some feedback from y’all if you had any experience with them.

I just now saw the thread about the ball test, but any input on it would be appreciated. Just want some input before I go buy some.

I’ve been playing the ZStar lately because I got a good deal on a few dozen and told they were similar to the prov1. I like the ball a lot but I still have the tendency to lose a sleeve per round, sometimes a few more when I decide to go tin cup and shoot a shot a few times that I’m unhappy with.

The Fried Egg podcast

Listen to part three of the Ball series. Snell talks about working on the proV. Also his story about first time he played golf is hilarious.

I suggest that you try the mixed sample dozen if the still offer it to find the Snell ball that works best for you.

It's a very inexpensive way to get the best ball for you.

Sometimes the descriptions of balls don't equate to a particular player's game.

My ball test was with me swinging, but your results might differ. Snell makes a fine product .

Hope that this helps.

Thx brother, I appreciate the info. I’m going to give them a try tomorrow with some that my buddy has and if I like them I was gonna buy the 5 dozen value pack. I have a big golf weekend coming up, 27 holes 3 days in a row. I just need to stock up on some balls and thought this might be a good idea for me.

I’ve switched exclusively to the MTB. It’s a great ball and I’ve been very pleased

One more question you may know something about, the “Vice” golf ball. You ever hit that ball at all? I saw the link you sent me but was wondering if you ever hit em...

I’m gonna hit the mtbx tomorrow and see how I like it. I’m not great, I shoot 87-97 depending on the course. Just looking for a good affordable ball since I do lose about a sleeve a round and sometimes more

I started playing the MTB. I was playing Taylotmade Tp5x. I find they go just as far and the covers hold up better. Just my 2 cents.

I don't care for the Vice balls. The Vice Pro that I tried seemed to just fall out of the sky....

Definitely shorter than the MTB-X for me.

Personally, I think that Snell will get better and better as a company going forward. The leadership is a bunch of smart guys.

Also, I really love their golf gloves, you can't beat the price on them.

Yeah I visited the Vice site and looked at what they had to offer strictly because of the price. I had my doubts but figured I’d ask the guys on here their opinion.

Definitely try the mixed pack first. Going by the description, I thought I’d like the MTB the most, but the MTBX ( blue box) works much better for me. Can’t really tell any difference between it and the Pro V1. Just bought 5 dozen for $144.

Yeah I’m gonna borrow a sleeve of the mtbx tomorrow and see what they’re about. I plan on buying the 5 dozen ad well if I like them like it sounds I will

Just went to MTBx about 5 rounds ago, I like the ball a lot, distance matches or exceeds anything I have played in a high performance ball and they definitely spin around the green plenty enough for me
