I have 3 different sections of cabinets and I’m trying to find some LED lights that can be either connected together and controlled by a single switch or WiFi. There are so many light strips on amazon but they are brands that sound made up. I hate to go through the effort of installing them for them to crap out right away.

No help on this but Home Depot has a lot of options. Whatever you do, don’t make the same mistake as I did. I ran some lighting under my kitchen cabinets on each side of my stove that are turned on/off with motion sensor and those thing are very sensitive and annoying as hell. Lighting turns on and off while you are cooking.

I'd check Home Depot and/or Lowe's sites. They're going to carry reputable brands as opposed to the gamble with Amazon.

I installed some last year, but don't remember the brand. I got them at Home Depot(I think). They were fairly inexpensive and took about 30 minutes to install. I already had some flourescent ones wired to a light switch though, so that made it easier.

I used a single strip of Philips Hue lightstrip that i cut in half and spliced with a cat-5 kit. I have the kitchen lights and another strip behind the living room tv that come on on a times schedule every day. There’s been plenty of talk about these smartlights on this board, and i agree that there are probably better options than these Phillips Hue strips because of pricing. I also got pissed splicing the Hue strip cause it seemed no matter what, that it would short one or both pieces of the strip and then some colors would not work.

If you have an outlet that is hidden, the Phillips hue strips work awesome.

I have them on the top and bottom.

Pretty cool. I like that setup. So do you have every strip plugged in individually or are they in circuit?

Separate. One strip (maybe an extension on some). I had the builder put outlets in the cabinets, but there are usually outlets you can use in a kitchen. (Refrigerator, microwave)

Control lights on phone and hue switch that sticks to the wall.

I’ve been slowly building my house with Hues. But, they’re easily 10x the cost of a no name LEDs.

AFX Undercabinet Lighting

This is what i used in my house. They can be linked together and controlled by one switch. If close enough, they have a built in linking cable, otherwise you have to wire them together. I bought them from Notoco in BR.

ETA:
If you want LED strip lighting, I used Kichler. Also from Notoco.

Ditto here. Highly recommend Hue. The app works well with routines and arriving home so that the lights are on when you walk in. As long as you’re cool with the NSA knowing.
