Under cabinet lighting recs

No help on this but Home Depot has a lot of options. Whatever you do, don’t make the same mistake as I did. I ran some lighting under my kitchen cabinets on each side of my stove that are turned on/off with motion sensor and those thing are very sensitive and annoying as hell. Lighting turns on and off while you are cooking.

I used a single strip of Philips Hue lightstrip that i cut in half and spliced with a cat-5 kit. I have the kitchen lights and another strip behind the living room tv that come on on a times schedule every day. There’s been plenty of talk about these smartlights on this board, and i agree that there are probably better options than these Phillips Hue strips because of pricing. I also got pissed splicing the Hue strip cause it seemed no matter what, that it would short one or both pieces of the strip and then some colors would not work.

Separate. One strip (maybe an extension on some). I had the builder put outlets in the cabinets, but there are usually outlets you can use in a kitchen. (Refrigerator, microwave)

Control lights on phone and hue switch that sticks to the wall.

AFX Undercabinet Lighting

This is what i used in my house. They can be linked together and controlled by one switch. If close enough, they have a built in linking cable, otherwise you have to wire them together. I bought them from Notoco in BR.
