Probably a long shot, but my husband lost his beloved navy blue LSU hat awhile back, and I really want to replace it. It was blue, had LSU in white stitching, and Louisiana State University in smaller white letters below it. My googling has come up short. Any idea where to find it?

Tiger People has them online. Probably in store as well.

Tigermania at Interline & Drusilla is now owned by Lids, and has always carried a huge line of caps.

I buy and replace my navy baseball LSU diagonal caps there.

Pastels don't exactly jibe with all clothing attire and occasion.

Navy caps and khaki slacks/ shorts help an LSU fan rep the brand, while not being all Disneypuke 24/7/365.

Yeah, or become an Auburn fan.

Purple, Gold, or White are the only acceptable colors for true LSU fans.

Allegedly navy and white were supposed to be LSU's original colors:

quote:

When one of the school’s early presidents saw what colors had been chosen, he was confused, according to Coates:

A few years later when Col. David F. Boyd, who had been president of the University from 1865 to 1880 and again from 1884 to 1886, returned to the University, he was rather surprised to find purple and gold as the colors. He told me they were not the colors, that white and blue had been chosen by him many years ago. But purple and gold had by that time established itself and nothing was ever done about it.

That's interesting seeing as how blue and white were LSU's first official colors before changing to purple and gold. So for that reason, I would say this hat is more than acceptable to wear on occasion.

If he were a true LSU fan he would've known that already.

Still have my heritage hat. Little faded, and some sweat stains, but so comfortable.

Don't worry. I can attest that after 15 years that Blue fades so much it appears to be a light purple.

This might come as a shock to you, but people outside of Livingston Parish have occasions where wearing a purple and gold t-shirt isn’t appropriate. That’s a solid hat that would go great with a polo and khakis.

...and I’m not talking about a dri-fit coaches polo baw.
