Went to The Landing today to have a few beers with a few friends on False River and was told Satterfields (the restaurant) was closed for good and will not re-open.

The first date with my ex wife was there

JBE should be held accountable for his actions.

He has caused so much pain and suffering to so many business owners. Scumbag

zero to do with covid.

It has been circling the drain since peter left.

The plug was pulled probably 15 years prior.

I don't know Peter...but...if they struggled for 15 years...than Covid is to blame.

Great location and view of the river...but the food was always just average at best...
Hope it reopens as a new and better restaurant...

The wife and I ate there a few times after heading back to N.O. from visiting her family in the Mansura/Marksville area.

Loved the seating that overlooked False River. Great location, so maybe some other people will take it over and do something with it.

I used to eat there when I was a kid and had baseball tournaments in New Roads. Was actually thinking recently about taking a drive there with the wife to bring her. Sucks to hear it’s gone.
