Trying to plan a party for wife’s 40th bday. Would likely host at a home or a small venue, 30ish guests.
What are some good companies to consider?
What would be price range per head?
How much more would alcohol cost per head?
Looking for something nice, but don’t want to have to take out a second mortgage on the house.

Don Bergeron's
Bacon and Fig Events

ETA I've never had anything bad from Don B's and Bacon and Fig catered my engagement party in December and everything was really good.

You've got some good suggestions. Some of the decision making depends on the type of food you're interested in serving. Heavy cocktail food? Buffet? Sit down meal? Lots of hors d'oeuvres-heavy and or light?

Depends on the food selection.

Depends on the alcohol selection and how long the party will last to some extent.

Likely heavy hors d’ourves or even entree type Items. Thinking more about it, I’ll probably supply the alcohol myself.

We’ve used City Pork several times. The food was great and they’re very easy to work with.

we’ve used both city pork and bacon/fig and they are both excellent. City porks menu option are a little limited though depending on what you are looking for
