I dunno if you can find one right now. They are sold out or asking 300 plus for them everywhere.

It’s just optimized for streaming. It’s super fast, well laid out. You can do everything you listed from a shield. I’ve added plex but haven’t set it up. I also tied 1.5TBs to my shield.

+1 on YouTube TV. I was using Uverse at $160/month and now am paying $50/month. YouTube tv is user friendly and has everything I need. I highly recommend it as long as you have reliable internet.
thanks.

Beast?

I went and studied my hulu acct and had extras I don't watch. Hulu is pretty good for the money.

Don't forget you get PLUTO TV FREE with the comedy channel.

Do you need a VPN for cinema free? Or kodi?

You should probably use a VPN. I use one when streaming movies, but not when watching beast.

Also cinema free may be a portal for hackers. During some investigating, experimenting, I’ve narrowed it down to one of two APKs, cinema being one of them.

A VPN with any of the Beast, Sportz, Kodai, Cinema, etc...
is STRONGLY recommended.

I used both the top 2 in past few years...not much difference really.

Beast is known for blocking/suspending accounts using VPN's. If they she 5+ simultaneous streams with same VPN, the block you and won't respond to your emails. IPTV is not illegal. No need for VPN.

Correct. The legality falls on the streamer not the stream-ee.

I've been having my shield for a while now. Unfortunately it's a 2015 model so whenever I can I need to update it. I am just starting to use Plex, so havent set up a server yet to host. If anyone would allow, my email is ......, please send me an invite so I can start building a library. Plex Username is jboylsufan.

Looks like I picked the right time to return to TD. I've been contemplating the below combo. Anyone have opinions? Can't decide to order these or just buy a smart tv. We stream HULU, Netflix and Cinema HD, mostly.

Nvidia Sheild TV

Sceptre 65" 4K UHD
>

Smart Tv's I'm looking at.

Samsung UN55RU7300FXZA Curved 55-Inch 4K UHD 7 Series Ultra HD Smart TV with HDR and Alexa Compatibility (2019 Model)

Hisense 55H8G Quantum Series 55-Inch Android 4K ULED Smart TV (2020)

Unless you know how to side load a Samsung, I suggest you get the shield. I also highly suggest tivimate and beast for your daily tv watching.

There's a ton of info in this thread so thanks to the OP for posting. Wife and I have been talking about cutting the cord, but neither has any idea where to start. Currently we have 3 tv's, a smart tv in the living room, one in our room, and one outside. All are currently on C-Spire cable with 2 using firesticks, and the living room on apple tv. Also using C-spire for internet if that matters.

We have amazon and netflix already. Is our next step deciding between hulu, sling, youtube, etc?

Yep, they all offer a free trial. Give them all a shot.

Did you do the tivimate premium?

Yes definitely. Just pay the 20 bucks for a lifetime license.

If you connect a HD to your streaming device, you can map Tivimate to it and voila, DVR.

The shield stick needs a micro SD card. I picked up a 1TB card on eBay for 20 bucks. The shield pro has USBs.

FYI, the shield pro is available for order at bestbuy. Sticks are currently sold out. I picked up another box and I’m waiting for delivery.
