Both Oklahoma Football and Kansas Basketball are considered bluebloods of their respective sports and are kings of the Big 12. However, both are known for being perennial postseason chokes and have not truly been national champs in over a decade. Who is the bigger choke artist of the two?

Oklahoma. Kansas has had some good teams over the years but they’ve gotten the benefit of playing in a down Big12 conference for years and benefit of getting all the calls at Allen Fieldhouse. Their true colors come out in the tournament.

Kansas hasn’t recruited like a blue blood in years

Use to win on talent and depth, but not so much now

Well that's just ridiculous. The Big 12 has been one of the best conferences every year for the last decade.

Somehow with our trash-arse team last year we still went undefeated at home. This was our first loss at AFH in 2 years.

That would be the ACC. I would accept it at #2 (The B1G should be #2, but they have had a recent streak of choking in the tourney)

And off the top of my head, I want to say the Big 12 has been #1 on Kenpom and in the RPI at least 5 years in the past decade. It sucks this year, but it’s been very deep in recent memory.

KU basketball, w the exception of last year, hasn’t had a top ten recruiting class in 5 years or so.

Do you think Kansas basketball is going the way of Nebraska football?

Their level per player brought in has been incredibly high each year. They’ve just done a really good job of not needing 5 players per year with upperclassmen coming back.

High. But not what it was. No player close to Wiggins. Embiid.

The big 5 stars haven’t been big men. Losing Preston probably hurt, but who knows.

I was wrong. 17 class was ranked 9th.

Lmao we haven’t been worse than a 4 seed since 2000. We’ve won 14 of the last 15 conference championships. We’re going to be a 1 or 2 seed this year. I think we’re fine.
