Clark isn't going to leave the state of Alabama until he's fully vested in the retirement system.
first of all, the alabama retirement system is chump change each person puts into it. secondly, one year of SEC Hc or coordinator money dwarfs retirement system money.

Same goes for Kyle Whittingham. All the guy has done is win.

Probably locked in at Utah though.

Just getting UAB bowl eligible for every year of his tenure is an achievement by itself. Bringing them to back-to-back conference championship games is truly amazing no matter what the surrounding circumstances were. It's easy to see how he did it, but not everyone is capable of making that happen

This.

I hope someone takes Clark because he is an unbelievable coach and I’m already tired of him in C-USA

Louisiana Tech has to live with the consequences of the decisions made by its “leaders.” Two players stupidity undoubtedly cost them a conference championship appearance and likely conference championship this season. Crying it’s not fair that UAB won the west is sour grapes.

Now, the UAB fans pounding their chest should also simmer down because at full strength Louisiana Tech was undoubtedly the best team in the west. Yes, both teams were missing their starting quarterbacks the difference is that LA Tech’s starting quarterback was going to be the Conference USA Player of the Year. Not exactly apples to apples in terms of what was lost

In conclusion... someone please take Bill Clark so we won’t have to deal with him anymore.

It's one of the best pension plans in the country. It's not head coaching money, even at UAB, but that doesn't really matter. Steady income for life is nothing to sneeze at.

And frick UCONN and their elitism. Crawling back to the Big East is going to hurt them, long term. They will take a big step back in TV money.

It’s got nothing to do with elitism
They just don’t care about football.
Wouldn’t be shocked if they get rid of the team or drop it to FCS when all is said and done

Also their basketball deal with fox in 2013 was 12 years 500m
I’d assume that’s more than the AACs deal and will be renegotiated once UConn joins

Know how I know you don't know what the frick you're talking about?

The Retirement Systems of Alabama kicks arse and takes names.

If David Bronner ran the US Treasury we wouldn't be 22T in debt and our taxes would be a third of what they are.

I personally dont care about UConn leaving. Nothing against them but they just weren't a fit for this conference. Also, in their defense, the basketball portion of the league was down the first couple of years with Memphis not pulling its weight. However, according to your numbers thats like 4mil a year per team compared to like 7mil a year per team the AAC is getting.
