He has visited there THREE times as an investigator into origins of Russia probe
The probe turned into full blown criminal investigation after he came back
Barr and Durham, according to reports, discussed a matter so sensitive and confidential, that they held talks with Italian intel folks at an undisclosed location away from all aides and journalists.
Whatever was found there has convinced Barr that the probe was not adequately predicated

i believe the first time Barr and Durham went over there, they didn't even follow protocol and alert US embassy staff in Italy in order to keep it secret until landing.

Yahoo News said that Barr and Durham were so frightened of Trump's impending criminal conviction (along with all his staff) that they ran off to Italy. This is not a joke. They were serious.
