Wait. Is the gotcha here that he went to an A+PEL conference and donated money to go towards education reform that was being touted by experts?
Rispone has always been connected with LABI, the governors assocaition, charter schools, school vouchers, Jindal, and his boy John White. These are all factions that pushed for Common Core, so it should be no surprise that Rispone supported giving it a try.
Also, I'm not sure that Common Core is everything you think it is.
