Im sure this has been asked many times before but im not a fan of the search feature and I would like an updated list from the board..

I just recently moved to Houston out of college and am looking to explore different drinking spots. It could be a brewery or draft house.. just any place that has good beer and preferably a nice atmosphere. Any insight would be appreciated.

Don’t use search function

Simply google “________ tigerdroppings” and it will populate what you’re looking for

North towards Spring. But it doesn't have to be in that area. I'll check out anywhere in Houston.

Savoir

A few friends of mine just opened Savoir in Houston

I've had a few other friends go check it out already and have all raved about the food, drinks and atmosphere.

ETA: The assistant GM, my friend, was flooded from the recent hurricane so go give them some business so he can afford to rebuild.

Astral Brewing has a nice bar, it’s on Shepard.
Brash is also a good brewery in that area, that’s a favorite amongst the beer crowd.
Axelrad is a cool place with lots of good beer on tap and a yard full of hammocks, in midtown.

Yeah this is a good place to chill when the weather is nice.

Are you closer to Humble or Spring?

There are a bunch of breweries that do running clubs on Wednesday and Thursday. Meet people, run, & drink good beer. Sigma, Eureka, Astral, Holler, and Under the Radar all have one.

Wakefield Crowbar in Garden Oaks does week night beach volleyball teams as well

offshoreangler is very reliable on this board. Follow his advice for downtown-ish spots.

If you’re up north, we have some fellow posters in Spring, The Woodlands, Kingwood....
