Hitman 2 or Red Dead 2?

I’m very in need of a new game. Was wondering if I should get Hitman 2 bc I really liked the first one, although I also have a ton of challenges left to complete on the first.
On the other hand Red dead will provide a different pace and possibly be easier to pick up and mess around without being too involved. One thing though is I wasn’t too happy with the storyline gameplay of GTA V, a Rockstar game. I actually found the Witcher to be better in all aspects of gameplay (other than just screwing around)
Which one should I get?

RDR2 provides hours of entertainment, beautiful scenery and amazing sound.
It also has a story that isnt bad. I'd go with that over the other.

RDR2
Hitman is pretty cool, but too linear for my tastes. Definitely worth a play, but not over RDR

RDR2 for sure. Good storyline and beautiful graphics. Too bad R* never released a pc version of it, I’d replay it again.

RDR2 story was great and the game is gorgeous. Exploring is extremely gratifying and the content is almost never ending. However, if I had one complaint...
Rockstar needs to improve their gunplay. The auto-aim is a crutch because the existing controls aren’t great and to compensate for the ease of using auto-aim, they send an absurd amount of enemies to combat you. It worked for RDR but it’s time for them to evolve and be better.

I agree, same for GTA V. Also with that all the quests were usually kinda similar and repetitive. I mean at the bottom of it all is probably due to the gunplay.
But to hear such great feedback on storyline and environment is a plus! Looking lopsided for RD2

I found every mission of RDR2 very unique

You’re supposed to be OP in the game. Dead eye makes it almost impossible to die, regardless of how many enemies they send at you.
It definitely isn’t perfect but it works, imo. If you want to play differently you can always turn off the HUD and play in first person. That makes it much harder, imo.

First person fist fighting and insulting is better. Imo you can see better facial reactions.
OP needs rdr2. Its settled op.

I rushed my first play thru in 3rd person and focused on just finishing the story. Did a second “immersive” playthru in first person without the HUD and auto-aim turned down and it made a world of difference.
Word of advice if you want to play first person, turn the camera shake while horse riding wayyyy down.

Hitman
RDR2 is just soo damn boring. Good game, I usually love those games but hate playing this one. Just wasn't fun.

I can pick up a controller and play RDR for hours at a time and never play the story line. I get hooked on hunting, or trying to complete all the challenges. It is really really fun.
