First time NW scores on LSU ever ...

Stingley made a heroic effort to get close enough to deflect the pass to Quon Shorts ...

Who allowed Shorts past him to get that six?

On the second TD ... NW with 5 WRs simply beat LSU on the left side where LSU had 4 on 3 ... The WR ran right past his man (#49 Traves Moore) a backup DE ... Stingley manned up on the outside WR ... We looked bad on that one ...

My guess is Kary Vincent gave up the first TD

Not sure but I do remember chuckling at the last name of the second NW St. player who scored, which was Fitzwater

Well Fitzwater just blew past Moore and caught an uncontested six ...

I’m wondering what a DE was doing when we needed a dime or Cheetah pkg out there

Coaches could have called time out ...
watch the replay on these two TDs ...

I’m sure they’ll fix it ... Glad LSU gets these scrimmages to work things out ...

They were in Zone. It was Vincent’s coverage area.

I swear, I had to look up one of their receivers' name at halftime because it sounded like the announcer kept calling him Sharts.

Sure looked strange to have our backup rush guy in standup pass D. Moore needs to be headed to the backfield when in the game.

Seems like we are having a lot of confusion and communication issues on the field with our defense so far this year. Don't recall it occuring this much in previous years.

Zone defense, hard to really put that on 1 person, Shorts found the hole in the zone, Stingley got closer than Vincent to possibly break it up but I dont think Stingley's responsibility was end zone in that zone he just saw what was happening and tried to do something.

Assuming we were playing zone, that would be on StIngley. His area should be deeper. Vincent’s coverage should have been deeper than StIngley but Vincent didn’t even show up. So I would say that’s on StIngley and Vincent. We need to play man coverage
