Never been a big fan of soup, but recently I’ve been trying different Progresso soups and am starting to enjoy them more. Which leads me onto broths. I know bone broth is full of all sorts of nutritional goodness, but honestly don’t know where to start. Would appreciate hearing some opinions from the H/F Board.

Are you looking for recipes, which brands to buy, or just opinions on broth in general?

They sell soup bone everywhere, kinda pricey now that everyone wants them. Try to find a butcher that throws them out or will sell them for cheap. Get you a Dutch oven and enjoy.

I suggest you make your own, and you can freeze the excess you make. I will share the recipe my wife makes when I get out of the office today... its really good.

Walmart's store brand is pretty tasty/nutritionally sound. Comes in liquid, liquid concentrate, and single-serve powder packets. I believe they recently started doing them low sodium as well.

If you make your own, it's pretty easy to do in the crock pot overnight. Rotisserie chicken carcass,onions/celery/carrots/etc, seasoning to taste. There are a lot of ways to customise broths.

Sorry for getting back to you so late.

The website my wife found is in the link and we made our own, there is a prepackaged version recipe as well.

It's delicious.

I’ve heard it’s great for breaking fasts, which is great because I do fasting practically every day.
