Does anyone on here have any info on Japanese Blueberry trees? Looks like a quicker grower than live oaks.

Fast grower, sensitive to temps below freezing, suspect to aphids, so get used to spraying.

We have some. They are very fast growers. Haven't had any problems with aphids or any other insects. The leaves turn bright red before they drop; but the tree is never bare, if that makes sense. We have them along our back fence and they provide a lot of privacy.

Thanks. I just planted 2 25 gal. From all the pictures I’ve seen I think we will be satisfied.

Will never get as big as live oak- nor will it live nearly as long or ever be as sturdy- no comparison whatsoever. One is basically a large shrub the other is a large tree.

They also need good airflow. I was using them as a good parking lot island tree. Plenty of air, good form, and minimal leaf drop
