Going to be in Charleston for a bachelor party Wednesday and Sunday. What are some good bars for a bunch of 28 y/o thats not extremely pricey. Anytime I try looking up bars all I find are higher end hotel type bars.
TIA

Did you not realize Charleston is not known for being budget friendly?

never been and had no expectations of the city at all. we only fly in and out of Charleston which is why we're there at odd times. I reckon there are at least a few bars that aren't like what I mentioned in the OP, or so im hoping.

Where are y'all going from CHS Thurs-Saturday?
There's a few "dive bars" on/near King Street like Burns Alley Tavern that service the CoC crowd...but even those aren't as cheap as what you'd see near major SEC/ACC Campus.

golfing up and around myrtle beach
Oh im from st Louis, it really doesn't get all that much cheaper for alcohol. I just dont want to be somewhere that is charging crazy amounts, when the bachelor party hasn't really even started yet.

Don't speed on US17 in Georgetown, or as you're going over/around the Waccamaw River bridge into Pawleys

Rec Room has cheap PBRs lol
Charleston is a relatively expensive going out city for the south. I’m happy to see New Orleans prices again after four years there.
Edmonds Oast Brewing Company - awesome beer and wings. Happy hour not bad prices.
Proof is slightly better prices for good cocktails

Some decent recommendations so far.
I'd add,
(1) The Royal American -- also Revelry Brewing is right by there.
(2) Tattooed Moose
(3) The Griffon - although I avoid it for irrelevant reasons to you
(4) Palace Hotel

The Griffin is my favorite dive in Charleston.

seems like a lot of the bars mentioned are all across Charleston. Maybe southern part is more expensive but more options?

Rooftop bar at the Vendue which also happens to be my favorite hotel in Charleston.

You staying around Pawleys for the night? If so, The Islander in Pawleys or Hot Fish Club in Murrells Inlet. Honestly, it would be worth it to stay a night in Murrells Inlet and just rage. Charleston can be too pretentious.

nope, just golfing on the way up.

Recovery Room
Palace Hotel
Moe’s Crosstown
Faculty Lounge
Cuddy’s
Burns Alley
Big Gun
Those are your more dive and cheap bars if that’s what you’re going for. The stretch on King Street between Spring and Calhoun will have all of the other bars you’d want for a bachelor party.
Steer clear of all the bars in market street. Bars on East Bay are very touristy, but you have some gyms like the aforementioned Griffon and Vendue rooftop.

Roof bar at Market Pavilion Hotel. Was there last night. Not cheap, but worth the price.
