In context, it seems pretty clear he was addressing the actual intent of your statement rather than the facetiousness.

Japanese Americans were literally placed in camps during World War II, I dont hear that being thrown around as an excuse.

It was nowhere near as long. Factoring in the preemptive and post war, it was at most 10 years for most Japanese. That is only a fraction compared to the time period of post Reconstruction to the early 1970s a time frame over 100 years).

Xiv is right on this one.

There’s +300 replies to your OP and I’m not reading them all so if someone has already given this answer oh well.

The Dims literally have nothing left other than identity politics and victimhood. If the Dims lose traction with either of those warped political strategies the Dims lose the 2020 GE in a historic arse beating, we’re talking Reagan in 1984.....it could be 45 or more states for Trump.

Then a teen who is a safe driver is a victim of institutional ageism.
A man who got drafted during Vietnam was a victim of institutional sexism.

You joke. But technically yes. Both of those are institutional discriminatory policies.

Insurance companies are the most racist and sexist institutions on Earth. The government for all its faults at least attempts fairness.

Ageism is applied equally among all races, sexes, religions, etc. Time/age works the exact same for all of us equally.

Selective service policies subject men to risks to which women are not equally subjected, but since the vast majority of our legislators throughout history have been men, this makes it much different from the institutional racism of redlining.

Whereas selective service policies are enacted by those in power at the expense of those who are more or less scheduled to be in power, redlining was a series of acts executed by those in power at the expense of people who were never intended to even be allowed to pursue said power.

Well put argument.

Selective service can be seen as a self-discriminatory act based on the ancient context of men needing to protect women.

The fact that you think that’s the thing in your statement that I find ridiculous is ridiculous.
