Booking a same day flight

Has anyone booked a same day flight? I am leaving for Chicago tomorrow but had some work cancel and am looking to cancel my flight and find an earlier one. Is there a chance that I could wake up early tomorrow morning and get a cheaper price than what is showing now or am I risking the chance of getting a higher price?

Do you live in nola? Theres a bunch of waivers up right now for the tropical storm so you could change your flight for free...

I called United to ask if I could get a refund due to the tropical storm with the intentions of just booking another, earlier flight. They said it was non refundable but I could go through the refund process which takes 7 business days. If I don’t get the refund, I get credit towards a future flight.

Which airline? If you have a wife get her to call their headquarters, and if you have ever had any hospitalization for any reason, say it is being effected.

If you’re flying United out of MSY you can change to another flight for no fee and not pay any difference in fares because of the storm. Just call and say you’re trying to get out earlier to avoid weather. I did the same thing today.
