The family is headed to the beach in a couple weeks. I’m looking for the best beach tent/ shelter. Also, something I could possibly use on the soccer fields. Recommendations?

The square pop ups are best for the soccer field, since everyone has them and you can butt them up end to end...but they’re kind of ghetto for the beach.

Pop up tents be $40 at Dicks and Academy.

Pop ups canopy Get the bigger one w the vents. Like 79 bucks May want to invest in the weights to hold legs down a bit. I’ve seen a few go tumbling this week
If you use it on the beach make sure to pack it back in a pickup. Sand will be everywhere

Instead of packing weights to the beach, bring 4 small bags you can fill with sand and tie down @ the corners.
I love the pop up on the beach, it’s just a bitch lugging it to the shore

We use a sportsbrella for the beach. Works great for us.

I bought a half looking tent from costco that works great.

Man I LOVE my Sportbrella.
I've had mine for several years and I've used it on multiple beach trips and dozen of crankbaiting for crappie fishing trips and it's still going strong.
3 adults and a soft cooler can easily fit under it, and I know some kids can too. It also offers some privacy and some semblance of isolation even when on a crowded GC beach.
I 2nd jgthunt's opinion- a sportbrella is the tits.

But I was thinking more of the fields

Cool cabanas, this thing is amazing and can be set up a just a few minutes by yourself. Only one center stake, legs are filled with sand at bottom

Not sure where you are going but went to orange beach a couple weeks ago and you can’t have pop up tents close to the ocean anymore. They have certain designated spots which are wayyyyy back from the ocean. You can bring your own beach umbrellas and the little half moon tents and use them close to ocean.
