How realistic is a total rebrand / vision / culture. Name change, arena sponsor change , it seems like with all the momentum of Zion, this could be the perfect time to do NOLA NBA Basketball the right way, with the right commitment, not to mention the right leadership.

If we do change the change the name and team colors I really like the

New Orleans Brass with the Mardi Gras colors , feels right for basketball

Crescent City Krewe is pretty unique as well.

VOODOO is the only option. Why go with anything else?

Make the Mardi Gras uniforms the primary with the city's colors the alternate. I have too much Pelicans apparel for a complete ditching of the colors. INB4 lol poor

Pelicans is legit and nothing wrong.

Most franchises do color tweaks here and there

The only way we should ever rebrand is if we purchase the Jazz name back. Brass, Crew, Voodoo, anything else local is a huge downgrade to Pelicans and sounds bush league.

It seems the Jazz are, yet again, moving away from the New Orleans Jazz scheme, much has they did in the powder blue uniform days. With how lucky Griffin has been, have him call them up and see if we can buy the name back.

So we want to change names for the 3rd time in 10 years?

We would be more of a laughingstock than we have been. There is nothing wrong with a team being named after a bird. Last I checked there are a few dozen teams with a name like this.

Get over this bullshite.

No way we change the name. Would look bad to change it again so quickly and it would seem like we're pissing on Tom Benson's memory even though he probably didn't even know what we changed the name to . However, I could see the color changes coming in a few years as the mardi gras uniforms continue to get great reviews

These are the same people who want to change coaches every season. I’m not surprised.

Dumb. Sounds like the Dollar Store version of the Jazz.

Dumber. Sounds like the Dollar Store version of the Gold State Warriors.

The Pelicans are a great team name and mascot. Having the Mardi Gras jersey only during carnival time fits in with the whole tradition of carnival. The current color scheme is pretty legit as is, without trying to do all of these new age neon colors.

This thread seems to come up often here and maybe I'm in the minority but I love our red blue and gold color scheme and the pelicans Lobos and mascot idnt bad either. Definitely beats the brakes off the "Baby Cakes"
