How isn’t the big fundraising campaign going?

Has anyone heard if they are on pace to meet their goal?

It is likely, as there are certain amounts of funds already committed or pledged even before the campaign begins. No one starts a campaign like this without a goal, and without a guarantee of a certain amount at the very outset. They would likely never have a big kick-off from zero.

Apparently they had 38 percent of the goal pledged when they went public.
The standard number is to have 50 percent pledged by the public date.
So they're behind their number at this point, and they're off to a rough start.
If personnel changes are made over there, this is going to be why.

There about 3 weeks into the 6 year public phase of the campaign...

My understanding is this was intentional since they were criticized during the Forever LSU campaign for going back and "re-counting" additional monies.

It's a 5 year campaign and it's not even been announced for a month. I think they'll be OK. They got a $1.2M gift last week.

I wouldn’t give them a $1.20 gift until there is new leadership in the LSU president’s office.
