CWW still hasn't testified, the trial still hasn't occured, and his notice of a potential witness hasn't been rescinded.

The NCAA sat in on the meeting.

Absolutely nothing changed from the moment CWW refused to meet, to the moment he met with the administration and the NCAA.

Except, his attorney.

I know most of you aren't able to set aside your hatred for JA to listen to facts, but here it is: This entire mess happened because CWW got terrible legal advice.

All of you that were so completely sure that JA just wanted to fire CWW... ban yourselves. You aren't real fans.

Someone needs to put moving signs in the yard of CWW's first attorney.

Alleva was about to throw Wade to the Wolves in the initial meeting.
Wades attorney saved his arse keeping him out of that shitshow until the had time to understand what was going on

You seem mad so let me explain to you the FACTS: Will Wade is reinstated and is going to be our coach for years to come. Be happy and enjoy it.

Several things.

1. Hired new attorney that has experience in NCAA cases.

2. Still has other attorneys as well I think - can't find the article I was looking for.
Their speciality was the FBI peice of the puzzle.

3. Wade and his attorney's have spoken to the FBI recently and the FBI is trying to squash the defense request for Wade to testify.

4. Down to the nitty gritty in the recruiting season and WW likes it here and does not want to go backwards.

So they all talk.
Wade denies any NCAA violations and here we are.

So in my view several things did change in the last few weeks.

Still never thought he’d come back even if innocent, how could you work for people who don’t have your back and throw you under the bus... I guess for a few million dollars I wouldn’t care but damn, would never trust administration again

Hmm, that's almost an interesting point. Except for one thing: Do you remember that he wanted to fire Les Miles (something that a large number of us actually supported, in that case), but then he didn't, because of outside pressure?

How do you know he didn't want to fire Wade, but the outside pressure got to him, again? And I have news for you, friend... The outside pressure was much louder this time around, and Alleva/Alexander no doubt felt that heat.

All this crap about Wade not meeting with them the first time, therefore it being his fault, does not hold water, for one reason that we have repeated many, many times: There was no reason for LSU to involve the NCAA in that meeting. Other schools have not done that, because they know the NCAA is going to do whatever it's going to do, regardless of how well you comply with them. They show no mercy if they find anything.

What changed is that Wade got a smarter attorney. His previous legal team was right to not want to have him talk with the NCAA present. But this new guy apparently knows the NCAA's methods, and felt confident to move forward with this meeting.

New attorney scared the NCAA
NCAA wants it all to go away
They don't want to know the real truth because it will indict the blue bloods of it's cash cow
Wade was an easy target and they could care less about LSU
If they go after LSU and Wade can break the NCAA and some of the top coaches in the game

Motion to suppress on the Federal end, an antitrust finding against the NCAA, and likely enforceable NDAs on Wade's end.
Why do you ask?

Wade is not going to testify, the wiretaps are not going to be released, and if they are, I think we've heard the worst parts.

There is no other paper trail, no witnesses or any other proof that can be obtained by LSU or the NCAA to show he committed an NCAA violation.
