Capital Campaign Update Questions

I know this isn’t the hot button topic of the day, but is anyone aware of how the capital campaign for LSU is going? I’m (stupidly) hoping that this campaign will show how little confidence there is in the LSU administration and it will finally be what rids us of these idiots.

I'm going to withhold my $5 until FKingAleva is fired.

A few $$$ people I know are abstaining. Not just because of the Will Wade situation but because of the direction of the University under FKing and the way has Alleva has handled representing and pulling levers at the athletic department. The Wade situation was just the straw that broke the camel's back and continues to break its back.
One of those individuals is not a huge sports guy at least not for basketball, and even he feels the same way. Most the time he just concerns himself with the academic side of things and the overall image of the University.
I know a bunch of $$ people that are holding back. Well, I should say, all of them. Except for one cuck I know but that's because he doesn't really follow things that are going on with LSU. He just closes his eyes and write the check. He's definitely one of a kind.
The administration has been a huge drain on the University for years now. Things are just now coming to a head

I'm sure the administration won't report the fundraising accurately, and in an attempt to bolster the numbers, they will back account for money given to the University from before the campaign started.

I mean it was launched publicly two weeks ago and is a 5+ year campaign.

The way that colleges count capital campaign dollars is that they start counting at the END of the last capital campaign and apply it to the current campaign.
So the Fierce for the Future campaign was recently announced, but it’s actually been in effect since 2012. This is the “public phase” of the campaign. Half the money is already “in the bank,” toward the goal.
All colleges do it this way. Not just LSU.

I mean, I’m not going to donate $1.2M to that but if they’re passionate about it...who cares? It’s their money and they want to support the program.

With the recent public launch of the Fierce for the Future Campaign, I hope you will soon feel a great sense of pride in what you are reading about LSU, though I understand that the campaign vision won’t negate the concerns you expressed. The LSU Foundation, specifically, is not in a position to address your concerns. We are in a position to encourage people to make an impact by giving, and we respect your decision not to give at this time.
