Like this one:
But it’s faded.
My neighbor cleaned his with soap and put some clear sealer (crazy expensive) on his and it looks fantastic.
Can I do the same with this?

Maybe try with a matte finish paint and see how it looks.

This, but use high heat engine paint. Will last longer in the weather.

Are you in Baton Rouge?
Everyone in my neighborhood uses a guy and he does fantastic work for $35.

Same here. If you have nextdoor app just ask them who they use. It's not expensive and looks great when finished.

Clean it
Remove flag and knob
Paint it matte black
Paint flag red
Use dremel to remove paint from numbers
Replace knob and flag

Yeah, this thread probably sent up a bat signal to ole Preston.

I didn't realize he was so well known. I thought it was just mainly my neighborhood.

That mother fricker has a cult following of older ladies who hire him for every little task.

Mine is only 2 years old and I've sprayed it down with WD40 a few times...but its not long lasting.
Does anyone have his number?

That’s great but I want to do it myself.
I’ll just spray the stuff in the OP and see what happens. I’m looking for a one time application of something that will make it pop.

Geez. A can of glossy black KRYLON every other year or so and mine looks like new. It's not that complicated.
