I have heard some great things about this place from a couple people. The building looks like a hole in the wall, and the site looks like it's a local treasure.

I plan to go alone for breakfast/brunch in the morning. Any suggestions?

My office is a mile from Liz’s and I don’t eat there quite enough. I never think of it at lunch for some reason, but did go with a customer recently.

The burger was damn good. I mean damn good. I don’t recall which one I got, but it was divine. I’ve had breakfast there a few times in the past and remember everything being good.

I recently moved to Old Mandeville. I am blessed with many great eateries within a 3 mile drive. This place went unnoticed until recently.

Thanks for your input!

I go with the scramble - pepper jack, avocado and a protein. Delicious

I've had breakfast there a few times and it was good with the exception of the Pulled Pork Benedict...this I would not recommend.

What? that was great

Lizs is one of the best breakfast places in the Northshore. The only thing is its tiny so make sure you're in the mood to be a little squished. I wouldn't go with more than 4 people especially on Sunday

If you go on the weekend expect a line. Breakfast is good (although i have a hard time getting excited about even a great breakfast).

I am just finishing actually. It's a short 5 min walk from my house, so I got to enjoy the beautiful weather, as well!

Yes, it was packed, but I was by myself this morning. My gf is on da Nyquil.

There was one 2 person table left, so I got a quick seat. Then the line formed outside. Long line...

I had the bacon and cheddar scrambler, grits, potatoes, an English muffin, and coffee.
It was fantastic! The food, the atmosphere, the 80s/90s music, and the staff...all outstanding!

Do they still have the sociopathic boarder line alcoholic quote signs on the wall? I love Liz’s. Great breakfast spot, use to live down Lafayette from there.

I didn't read all the signs...but I'm guessing yes. Lol

I live down Villere.

My parents eat there quite a bit and they love it. I have never been due to the line outside so we usually hit up Mandy’s for the Shrimp n Grits while in town.

Mandy's is good, but I think I prefer Liz's and La Lou.

I have been going there since Liz opened. My go to for Sunday breakfast. Try getting there before 8 AM. Wait staff is great. Love how they grill the biscut with suasage gravy.

Liz's is a good breakfast/brunch spot. Like others have said, expect a line and tight quarters on weekends.

La Lou is a great place as well. We hit it up this past Saturday for breakfast.

I moved to MV about 8 months ago, we love the area, especially Old MV.

I don't get the hype. I found the food (several breakfasts and brunches) unremarkable. It was perfectly fine, but nothing special. Certainly not for waiting in line unless you just want to see and be seen in a "funky" joint.
