What are your rates vs value of vehicle or how are they determining rates?
Ever had a claim? if so, how did it go?
Does anyone have them insuring a "1980 or newer" category car?

$284/yr, agreed value 14k,unlimited miles, towing,on a pre catalyst small block v8 , A body convertible. They got to it before me after Katrina in an elevated FQ garage and etched the claim # in crayon on the windshield (no damage). Locked garage no longer required. Great company.

I have Hagerty on my 69 Camaro. It’s right around 1,200.00 per year. Based on 70k value. Unlimited roadside assistance. That covers anything from bringing gas to wrecker service. (Towing or flatbed is covered for the first 150 miles. And the vehicle brought to your choice location.) Have not had to use them yet, but friends have and are very pleased with their services.

I insure 7 cars with Hagerty. It is a great company with good rates. All are pre 1980 though.

quote:Just like most insurance, where you live plays into it. I had my weekend only 2015 911 Turbo S insured with them. I'm in La and it was $155k agreed value, 6k mi a year. Premium was about $2700 a year, IIRC. It was about the same as Allstate wanted on my big policy but I got the agreed value as opposed to normal ins.

I have a 1952 MG Replica Kit car on 69 VW chassis built in 1981 insured with American Modern Insurance Group. It's $250 a year which is AMIGs minimum annual premium. Hagerty wouldn't write a VW kit car or VW dune buggy.
AMIG Collector Car Ins
AMIG will write an 1980 or newer car. I think the requirements are not a daily driver, must be stored in locked garage, & you can pick one of several options for annual mileage limit.

Ive been with them about 7 years and have two vehicles insured (one new and old). I’ve always had great customer service when speaking with them but have never filed a claim.

Nothing wrong with Hagerty. Their service is very good.
I'm with NCM now, agreed value, varied use coverage plans are available, a little bit cheaper. Filed one small claim and it was handled promptly.
