He was in several very good movies over the years and as dark movies go, "Before The Devil Knows You're Dead" is one of the darkest.
He had a smaller part in that movie, but it was a good part he played and I liked how he dealt with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who played his oldest son in that movie.

I seriously didn't realize he played both the young and old versions of Scrooge when I saw it in the theater as a kid. I was convinced it was two actors some 30-40 years apart in age.
