Is this place popular?

Went there the past weekend for the first time and it was delicious.

I bought bottles of both the sauces before I left to bring back home and will have them stocked in my fridge at all times. I had the paticon with shredded beef. It's a sandwich with fried plantains used for the bread.

Epic Cajun and I love it. Like he said- we only went once but it was incredible. Thanks for reminding me how much I love it- will have to go back soon.

How long has this been open?

I’ve never even heard of it but I guess I never drive down that stretch of Bertrand

I go every now and then. The arepas are worth a try as well.

You take that picture or did you steal it from their facebook?

Internet.

I never knew what a patacone was until I went there. I figure others might not either so I posted the photo.

And I had a bite of the arepa and they were really good too.

Ate there this week. They are very good. It's kind of like a taco, but it's sandwiched between fried plantains instead of corn tortilla.

That place is legit. I have not had a bad thing from their menu, and I think I've tried everything.

The only thing I don't like about the place is the layout of the dining room. Everything is small, and if you even have 8 people in the restaurant it feels full. Waitr is in and out of there non-stop so maybe that's the way to go?

For something really different for desert try the Tequenos Nutella. It's string cheese and nutella wrapped in a pastry and fried.

String cheese and nutella?

Sounds strange but I'm in.

Friend of mine got some for free after they forgot to put his original order in, so I got to try some. Don't think I would have ordered them myself before having some, but they were addictive.

Said friend is probably lurking in this thread. Dilly dilly

We ordered takeout. But, I think it’s BYOB if you dine in.

I’ve been a few times while in Lafayette the last couple of years. Always really good and cheap.
