Wonder if they'll DNA test it.

Why would they DNA test it? They admit they feed over 5000lbs of protein from January till August every year on the property even though its low fence and fair chase it shouldn't be considered for the record books in my opinion.

WHY? Low fence, fair chase. Dude spent tons of time, effort, and money pumping protein to improve his herd.
If it ain't penned up I don't see where the problem is.

wouldnt that exempt a large portion of camps/leases from the record books?

sounds like they're doing a good job of attracting/keeping/growing deer legally.

Land locked area. Deer couldn't leave if they wanted too. fence or no fence. If they cant freely leave a property because of artificial barriers such as interstate highways, neighborhoods, town, large body of man made water, and so forth then they are in the same sense as a fence "captive".

dang man.... jealous much?

Why hate on a guy for making the most of his hunting environment?

So if the next record were killed ...say... on a Mississippi River Island... would it count?
I mean it's land locked....
just don't buy your logic.

DNA test would confirm if it was from the native deer herd, it's going to take more than just protein to get a deer past 300" imo.

Never understood the fascination with these hunters. Why is he on the cover of magazines. I mean he sucks arse as a hunter. If he was even half the hunter I am he would have been able to kill that deer when it was 1.5 or 2.5 year old buck.

More rewarding people for failure.
