Kitchens couldn't hit the side of a barn as a QB. I believe he was the starter for 1-2 seasons

IIRC he ended up at Millsaps and crushed. Some jobs are just a little beyond people's talents.

Kitchens led us to the 1996 sec title game, in which Florida destroyed us.

But back to Dubose, he beat Spurrier twice in the same season, think about that!!

Zow.

I remember watching Bama vs LSU in '97. The season was already a disaster, and DiNardo actually had a decent team that year and the game was well in hand in the 4th quarter, and Big Thick was having an awful night. I want to say at some point he got sacked on consecutive plays, just really hammered, and he dragged himself to his feet, looked at his OL with utter disgust, and got back under center and got crushed again. I remember thinking, this dude sucks, but damned if he isn't out there beating his brains out to try to get on the scoreboard.

Dude always had my respect after that
