re: How Is LSU Going to Beat UCF? This has "trap bowl game" written all over it.

This seems tailor made to be the kind of game we go in flat on and lose.
So, how do we win?
Establish the running game. Pound them from the beginning. If we start driving the ball through the run, they get on their heels and we out physical them from the outset. It changes the mindset.
Nick Brossette is the answer to all the questions LSU might have.
Needs 75+ yds in the Fiesta to reach 1000 for the year.
This is a senior who sat his entire career when others have transferred, and finally got his chance. He has a big personal benchmark within his reach, and that goal overlaps very well with what LSU needs to do to win. And to top it off, there's a solid chance that if he has a big game and aids in TOP, he gets bowl MVP too.
This is his career dream scenario, to reach every personal goal AND carry the team to victory, in his final game... and against one of the lesser defenses he's faced this season.
I look for him to have a big game. He has every reason to.

No it doesn't. Its not a trap game.
The best players are sitting out. The replacements will show their parents, grandparents how they do it.
Its the fiesta bowl. Its major.
O and the team have a lot riding on this.

Do you believe when our team walks on the field and sees a lack of fans making the trip ....it has no influence? You never played football have you?

So, the zero production returning on offense, the entire new OL that still had 8 different lineups due to injury, the talented, but very young and inconsistent wrs who weren't always on the same page with the QB that had never started a game and only been on campus 2 months, or the lack of elite rbs, or the new OL coach, and new OC? Maybe a combination of lacking talent in certain areas (rb and tackle) and experience in other areas, QB and wr...these are just a few of my favorite things. Oh, and lsu just happened to play4 top 15, 6 top 30 and 8 top 50 defenses.

I agree, and much like the bowl in 2010, I believe this bowl sets the Outlook going into 2019. This is a very big game for O and LSU.

It's all going to come down to motivation. For UCS, in their minds they are literally playing for a national championship. They win this and they are hanging banners, buying rings, and you can bet your arse that like last year the NCAA will recognize it.
LSU needs to get up for this.

1. This game means everything to UCF and probably little to LSU.
2. LSU has an advantage in talent
We have to see if talent can overcome lethargy. If it does, LSU should win in relative ease.
But I have a feeling the game will be closer than it should.
