25 years ago yesterday. IMO one of the top 5 greatest rap albums of all time.
Between that, The Chronic by Dre,and Juicy by Biggy, i was a young white suburban kid bumping that all day every day.
If you have Sirius XM, go listen to Snoop on Stern last week. He was telling stories of how all the classic songs came to be and was rapping on air. Dude's a legend
I still know the lyrics to every song on that album. Its crazy that i was 12 when i was doing that. lol

It’s still my favorite rap album from my favorite rap era of g-funk. The album is a masterpiece. So many great tracks that have stood the test of time. He really hasn’t put anything out close to that caliber since, but still has been able to maintain his status in the public scene since.

One of my favorite albums of all time. Takes me back to high school and riding around town. Good times

One for the money, two for the bitches
Three to get ready, and four to hit the switches
In my Chevy, six-fo' Rad to be exact
With bitches on my side, and bitches on back
So back up bitch 'cause I'm struggling, so get
Off your knees and then start juggling
These motherfricking nuts in your mouth
It's me, Warren G the ni**a with the clout

I was a senior in high school when Doggystyle was released...so many memories.
GenX was really lucky to live through the good days of that late-80's/early-90's period of rap music. WuTang, Death Row, Public Enemy, Biggie, 2Pac (though I'm not a fan of his), Tribe, Outkast, etc. All while the whole grunge/alternative wave was happening with a whole other genre of incredible music.
Thanks to the late 90's, the 90's will never get the credit that decade deserves for putting out nearly unprecedented quality music.

Doggystyle may not be the best rap album ever from a pure musical perspective, but it's probably the rap album that influenced me the most. And by influenced, I mean Doggystyle transformed me from a kid still not quite sure whether he was fully on board with rap as a genre, to a full-on child of hip hop.
And who else remembers where they were during this performance?

'Cause Snoop Dogg is Trump tight like a virgin, the surgeon
Is Dr. Drizzay, so lizzay, and plizzay
With D-O-double-Gizzay
Tha Shiznit is still the greatest.

haha, it was hard to pinpoint a favorite line from that song without going through it all.
To tell ya the truth
I swoop in the Coupe
I used to sell loot
I used to shoot hoops

I used to sell loot
I used to shoot hoops

Between music, movies and the beginning of the internet (picking up girls in aol chat rooms), the 90s is definitely the GOAT decade
