My folks are out of town on a cruise and have several mini horses. Apparently, last night cayotes were running wild last night and chasing the horses until a neighbor came down and ran them off by shooting into the air.

I know that killing them only makes them stronger, but is it a law violation to kill them on your property providing nuisance and threatening property?

Think he means as a breed. When they hear less return-howls, they breed more.

Get yourself a pair of kangals.

Mine baited a big male into his yard the other night and ripped his throat out.

Was absolutely covered in coyote blood when he pranced inside.

The a-hole

Jesus Christ just shoot the goddamn thing, bury it, and don't tell anyone. It's not that complicated.

I can't wait till we have a plague or something to wipe out 1/2 the goddamn population.

I'll say this, if you hang one at the edge of your property where they come in, they keep their distance for a while.

Set up a bright light
Turn light on
Sit against a backdrop with buckshot
Blow fawn bleat
Shoot coyote

When I got my place here in western Alabama I was doing some scouting. Came upon a creek that was frequented by coyotes. The previous landowner (or hunting rights lessor) had hung dozens of big arse treble hooks on about 50# fishing line. All about waist high. I assume they put meat on the hooks and it would catch the coyote in the roof of their mouth.

There were dozens (probably 45-50) coyote skeletons scattered on both banks of the creek.

Looked like something out of a Stephen King novel.
