Same here. Had hail damage, nothing visible to my untrained eye, on my roof that was only about 5 years old.
They replaced my entire roof. No fuss. No mess. Extremely simple and easy process.

Home and Auto here.
Home insurance is higher than local guys and their estimates for "replacement cost" is through the roof compared to other agencies in the area. Auto seems ok..but I'm not happy with their Tampa Bay office so I avoid them like the plague if I have a claim. Luckily it's been a while (hope it will be a while again).
If you have to deal with the TB office...call after closing hours Eastern time and you'll likely get San Antonio or Denver...much better people to work with.
My dividend checks have been SUCKING compared to my mom's. And I pay a lot more. She has 1 vehicle/home/flood with them. I have 3 vehicles/home (flood not required). But her dividend checks have been 3x-4x more than mine.
I truly only stay with them because I'm too lazy to change. Home is getting expensive enough to make me reconsider.
I also have 2 credit cards with them....no issues with the banking/financial side at all.

Have USAA auto, renters, and life insurance. When I purchased my home their loan rates were not competitive with local banks, but that isn't surprising. The customer service is second to none. I will never understand why those that are eligible don't use USAA, they are light years above regular banks/insurance providers.

go thru an insurance broker in town for homeowners insurance.
great company but USAA can be beat, i see it all the time on homeowners insurance quotes, I'm a mtg broker here in BR.

Large face amount insurance? They aren't a life company and I believe are just a broker/sales channel maybe with admin/servicing rights
Can't imagine they give a great deal

I’m not sure the rates can be beat.
I LOVE banking with USAA but I swapped to MetLife two years ago. They smoked USAA's rates and I doubled my coverage in some areas. Even added a million of personal excess for both us and it was cheaper.
