No...this is just a surprise shipment for Calandros. I'm not sure how they get it or how it doesn't run afoul of distributorship laws. But I'm all for it.

You in Athens? It's still pretty hard to find in my area of ATL in cans.

Yeah, I don't remember it being malty at all, but it was super fresh when I had it.

It's delicious juice from the gods. In my amateur opinion, Scofflaw basement ipa is just as good if you get your hands on some.

Drink Automatic, their Pale Ale, then drink Tropicalia.

You'll see what I mean. Automatic is really good. Tropicalia was one of those beers that I was super excited to try and then really disappointed once I had it.

Cosmik Debris is their Double IPA. It’s my absolute favorite.

If you are ever in Athens go to the brewery. They always have lots of limited releases and experiments going on to taste.

Some will not be good but it’s fun to see all the things they are trying.

Their brewery is great to visit. Good people watching and good beer.

Tropicalia is almost impossible to find here in the stores in the northern suburbs.

You're not wrong. Tropicalia has a maltier backbone. That said, it's got a nice hop profile that stands up to that malt and it's still a very enjoyable beer.

Sometimes I wish I had a more discerning beer palate. Sometimes not!

I could pick things out if I was with someone that could tell me what to look for, but mostly my analysis is good, ok and not good.
