We've just had so much success in the mid rounds on offensive lineman. It's hard to endorse taking another one with a 1st round pick. Especially since a guy like Peat has basically turned into a guard for us. That wasn't exactly great value at pick 13 or whatever he was.

Armstead, Jahri, Bushrod, Nicks. Kelemete (5th rd by another team). All were found mid draft.

3 of the 4 all pro guards were drafted 33 or higher. 1 was undrafted.

The offensive line is definitely a concern for me, but moreso depth. We could draft a guy or two in the middle rounds.

Although, I really expect them to try to address depth in FA.

That was not a great 1st round year, 2015. Our boy from Miami came right before that draft and I assume did not play much of a role since he was not there for the whole process.

That said Peat is pretty good when he is not hurt.

Peat couldn’t stick at the position he was drafted to play. There’s a silver lining there but big picture it was poor value

Peat still became a starter on our OL and you can not say bad value. Maybe not as good value but its better than a bust pick at a value position.

I actually like him as well. Not sure what round he's supposed to go in though. I'd take him in the 4th round all day. Plays both OG & OC.

He could give you immediate depth at OG & also be a candidate to replace Unger in a couple years.

There are actually quite a few backup RT options in free agency that shouldn't be too expensive. I wouldn't be surprised if we went that route.

Assuming we don't retain Kelemete...3rd or 4th round should have plenty of good OG prospects in them. I'm assuming LeRibeus will be re-signed eventually as well, so at least we'll have someone to fall back on if the rookie isn't ready in time.
