Yeah I will concede that surprise onside kicks have their place.

But obvious onside attempts very much are luck-based.

Solution - fake punts fricking rule.

This would be an absolutely terrible rule. It's as if theyre trying to make the game more boring. I hope it doesnt get passed.

Some of the most exciting times in LSU football this century is when PP7 or TM7 lined up to receive a kickoff.

Also, Russell Shepard was on the verge of getting cut from the Buccaneers when Lovie Smith saw him fly down the field as a gunner. He layed a lick on a brother and a contract was signed.

I guess high school is never changing their rule now about every kick off into the end zone being a Touchback, even if the receiving team wanted to return it?
