used to be a toss up between...
1. Born on the Bayou--I could listen to that riff literally all day long and not get tired of it.
Those are great songs you have choosen they are favorites of mine also. Have you listened to Gregg Layman's 'Southern Blood I think it was excellent, if so your opinion?

Some days, I think it's Hotel California.
Other days, I think it's Stairway.
But, it's really Comfortably Numb.
Ace, you're scaring me.

And a big nod to...
Never Been any Reason--Head East
This song has it all---vocal harmonies, great guitar hooks, little bass solo bridges, keys/synth, cowbell, mid song percussion bursts, and great '70's rock 'n roll lyrics.
I never paid it much attention through the years, and about 5 years ago it just hit me while driving..." man, this is a great frigging tune!"

Just thinking off the top of my head, this is one of my absolute favorite songs. I could listen to it over and over:
The House of the Rising Sun
"Well, I got one foot on the platform
The other foot on the train
I'm goin' back to New Orleans
To wear that ball and chain"
