Jacos Marine
Cheapest prices in the country, you can try to get someone local to you to match or get close at least. If they won't Jacos will schedule you and you can drive up and they'll swap you out in a day, my experience is a local dealer will get close enough that your ahead by the time you figure travel or shipping expenses.

I heard a lot of guys go up there for Mercury’s from here.
I just got lucky I bought my boat used with blown powerhead. It was bank repo and they were scared to mess with it. I offered $4k they said sold.
Bombardier fixed the motor under warranty which I was very lucky. After the repair I traded it for 2017 evinrude G2 150 hp and put a hydraulic jackplate on it over the manual one.
Hull was in great shape just needed clean up.
Rest of the boat was decent got power pole and Lowrance side finder gps for free basically.
Boat feels like a brand new boat and I am still well under $18k.
I got friends who if you have the cash and they do buy older rangers, champions, basscats, and nicer boats and redo them. They hunt around for new motor and their boats are like mine run fine, look new, have warranty on the engine. Just watch and know what you are getting into.

Don’t forget about LA state taxes when buying engine from somewhere like Jaco’s. When you bring it back to LA, proof of paid taxes will have to be given to WLF. Time and travel expenses will eat into your potential savings as well.

They are really great boats that hold up well over time. I have two friends with early 2000's 22 fters and they both wouldn't trade them for anything. The earlier ones were lighter, float shallower, and don't need the biggest engines.

I know you deal with Mercury. Y’all do repowering? I may be calling you in a few years.

I love the new 25 they call a hybrid.
I fished the original 22s, one ran around 50 loaded with a 175 zuke and another pushed 60 with a 225 vmax
