I'm sure if this came out years ago I would've enjoyed it more. I was honestly bored with it.

Same, kept thinking the final fight with vulture would be a throwdown but it never really materialized. Nothing really stands out about the movie at all, I’d give it a B.

yeah well since he didn't have his armor on him, Spidey probably just should have kicked his arse and took him in right there. Why did his threats mean shite?

Do you know why Pokemon is still so successful with the same business model they've pumped out for over 20 years?

Nostalgia.

Older people who still play the games will keep playing them regardless. They honestly prefer the games to stay true to their origins.

Younger people are the new customers and that's where the money is. And Gamefreak, Nintendo, and the Pokemon Company all know it.

They will always market to the new customer base. Their existing customers aren't going anywhere.

Marvel and Disney are smart and do the exact same thing. They care a lot more about getting new viewers than they do about retaining the ones they have. Because that's where the money is. If you have watched all 17 (Thor Ragnarok is #17) of the MCU movies so far, you aren't gonna stop now. You're at least going to watch through the Thanos arc. After that, you may get off the train. But probably not.

The thing I didn't like about Spider-Man Homecoming was that he didn't appear to be really all that good at being Spider-Man.

Just getting his powers. He did not even show spidey senses. Relied on the suit. Looks like his spidey senses have kicked in since if you watched the infinity wars trailer.

Here is the extent of Peter Parker's backstory covered in Civil War.

I'm not a fan of Spider-Man being Iron Man's sidekick, but that's a great scene.

I'm wondering if they're setting him up as the heir of Stark Industries after the Infinity War storyline is over

it was really cool how they made tony stark a bad guy for like the 3rd time...granted this isn't like the other 2 movies where he's the antagonist and main villain.

go Michael Keaton, you steal that shite and kill Spider-Man if he gets in the way. he's trying to pork your daughter.

Made Wonder Woman look like dog a by comparison. A very good superhero movie.

No thanks. It's the best of Phase Three in my opinion. No MZ (Marvel Zombie) will be able to convince me otherwise.

Sorry I don't follow lockstep with the notion that the MCU contains some genre-defining movies. Are they entertaining? Sure. But they're nothing really to right home about. And neither is the DCEU. In fact...I would rate the DCEU films as follows:

Man of Steel: B+
Batman v. Superman: B-
Suicide Squad: C-
Wonder Woman: B+
Justice League: B-

None of them have any re-watch value and that goes the same for many of the films in the MCU.

I haven't seen Captain America Civil War but does it go into more detail about the origins of Peter Parker becoming Spiderman?

Are you serious? There's been several Spider-Man movies in the last decade. They definitely did not need to cover the origin story.
