Godless is my next one to watch, just need a weekend with nothing going on to get started.

Not to hijack the thread but what about Hatfield and McCoys with Kevin Costner, anyone started that one yet?

I liked it. Bill Paxton is solid in it.

Finished it last night. Thought it was great.

Thought it would have been better without the pointless lesbian crap. I didn't care for the women empowerment and interracial crap, but it at least made sense with the story, just don't know why writers think they have to insert sjw crap to a show. Am i really to believe in 1884 women were scissoring? Thankfully the show was good enough to easily look past the crap.

Also didn't care for the ending.

Spoilers

Brother can't tell him what he does in the letter and that he has to come see him, and we never found out b/c the show ends before he finds him. I thought for sure that pastor was going to be his brother.
I assumed roy was going to kill frank, but the "this ain't my death" talk throughout made it seem like that was never going to happen. Glad he killed him. Jeff Daniels did a good job making Frank piece of shite.

Man, if you don't think people have been fricking people for all of eternity, I don't know what to tell you.

Men have been humping men, women have been humping women... blacks, whites, asians, Indians, etc... have all been fricking each other since the dawn of man.

The only difference, is no one thought it was important enough to post about it on Facebook and the twitters.

As for the series... loved it. Fantastic performances by everyone except the little Indian boy.

I mean, there's been known lesbians in history dating all the way back to Sappho in Greece. Do you really think only men were homosexual in Ancient Greece?

i know that's it's been happening since the beginning of time. it's supposed to be a western. When I think of a western, I don't think of a bull dyke being with a the town whore.
It just served no purpose in the show at all. It had absolutely nothing to do with anything. I had no problem with Whitey going after the black girl, even though that's not something you ever see in a western. I also had no problem with 30 women holding off the all of Franks men, which seems a bit farfetched given the way the built up Franks crew the whole series, but girl power I guess. It at least was feasible given they had the high ground, and that the story would make you believe those women had to toughen up given the scenario, so I didn't mind that either. But the lesbian part just served no purpose to the story.

It was a modern western, full of SJW crap, but the story was good enough for it to not really interfere with it from being a great show.

at least one of the lesbians was kinda hot. Her with the German chick would have been more enjoyable than the stereotypical butch lesbian

Would you have been fine if it was two gay men instead?

why does their have to be any gayness?
I said I didn't mind the inter racial crap, or the girl power crap, b/c they both fit into the show and moved the story along.

what about the lesbians in this western did anything to bring something to the story? The whole point of them being lesbians is so they could have their scene where the hot one says "I don't care if everyone knows" in front of the whole town and then the fat dyke can tell them "frick you" for looking at her differently b/c she likes to scissor. That didn't bring anything to the show, it was just a message from the gays of Hollywood.

I saw this show advertised and passed on it. Then I got the flu, couldn't sleep in the bed with all the coughing, slept in the recliner downstairs, turned on the TV looking for something to pass the sleepless night and rediscovered this show. Didn't like the 1st episode, was kinda lost with the characters. Then it all started making sense and by the end of the 3rd or so episode I couldn't turn it off. Watched all 7 in 2 nights. What a great show.

I admit the comments above about the worthless gay stuff was not necessary but they needed a woman to take charge and who else but a "bull dike" could fill that bill? Overall, all the characters made the story that much more interesting to me and could never predict the ending.

I was much impressed with this show and recommend it to everyone. Just don't make it a 7 night thing. You need to get on with the action and development of the story.

The story of the town is that all the men died. Is it really that offensive to you that the butch one who becomes mayor and is a main character gets involved with another female? It’s not like all of them are having orgies together. JFC.
