The reasoning, even after #hookergate , is because Im tired of constantly losing coordinators every single season.

Chavis leaves, Cameron is fired, Ensminger interims, and now Canada wanta fricking leave.

If we hire Hugh, we have a guaranteed bad arse offensive mind who will actually appreciate the opportunity after royally fricking up.

There is no better option. Hugh and Orgeron are tBros , and Canada obviously is a drama queen who thinks hes better than LSU. So let him flop about like a fish out of water and get freeze on the phone before someone else fricking does.

Geaux Tigers.

Could you just scroll down a few threads and say this so we can tell you to “frick off?”

Do you feel like constantly switching offenses every year ? That isnt how you win games.

Wouldn’t Hugh be looking for a HC gig pretty fast?

Or would that be too much?

Not sure what this means, but it's been alleged that they hate each other.

Nobody would let him run a program. Which is exactly why he wouldnt leave LSU for a good 5-6 years. Stability is what we need. We are looking at yet another coordinator switch and we dont even have a special teams coach.

Thank god for aranda.

Actually, that's BS. Hugh Freeze and other former O assistants since O was at USC have been saying that O's won-loss record at Ole Miss wasn't really O's fault, but the fault of O's predessor who did a piss poor job recruiting, which was the main reason for his dismissal.

Meanwhile, while at Ole Miss, O did a really good job of recruiting. In fact, according to Freeze and other former assistant, had Ole Miss fulfilled their end of the bargain and let him have his final year of his contract, they believe O would probably still be the head coach at Ole Miss today.

They say that when O left, for all intents and purposes, the Ole Miss football program had been rebuilt, and the proof is Houston Nutt came in and won immediately with the players O had recruited to Ole Miss. Then once O's players graduated, Nutt stopped winning and started losing.

We have been having the special teams coached lined up for hire since last year. O is waiting for the 10th assistant coach to be approved by the NCAA in the spring.

Freeze is not a good play caller. I have no idea where this narrative came from.

I disagree. Freeze will get another coaching job soon; may not be this year but probably next year. Do we really want another possibly "one and done" OC? We need some stability in our offense if we are ever going to have an offense.

If I’ve read his “show cause” correctly he won’t be able to recruit for a year.

I’m all for Freeze being on the support staff if he goes without a job.

He does not have a show cause. His only penalty was that he's suspended 2 games if he gets a head coaching job for the 2018 season. There are no restrictions on him as an assistant and no restrictions on him as a head coach after November 30, 2018. All in all, he got an extremely light slap on the wrist.

I'm all about him on support staff, ala Sark at Alabama.

I'd be less enthusiastic about him as OC, but, like someone else said, he'll be able to spin the redemption angle. I just don't really like him. Although, I guess I would choose him over Briles.

I'll have to look into exactly what it's alleged that Kendall was involved in, but I'm positive that his dad was complicit in covering up sexual assault. So, I guess I would prefer the guy who allegedly bought hookers for himself over the guy who allegedly covered up sexual assault.

I agree but most top coordinators and gonna look to become HCs at some point. Very few are content to remain coordinators. Aranda is the exception, not the rule.
