I've been thinking bout a .17 HMR. The CZ American has kinda got hold of me. Anybody have one...how do you like it?

Spend the money and buy a used 453. Single set trigger is the tits.

I am pretty sure you can normally find them cheaper than this. It's just the first I came across. [link=(Check out what I found on GunBroker.com!

Two responses so far but neither seems to own one... I'm really hoping to get some responses from someone who owns one. But thanks....

I own one. That's why I'm suggesting it.

The 453 with the set trigger is rare and awesome and not that much more. It's the way to go imo.

Eta: not to mention there are probably several old threads on here discussing this very thing. All reviews are positive.

I have a 455 with a .22 barrel (gonna get a .17 barrel soon). It's insanely fun to shoot. I couldn't even give an approximation of how many rounds I have through it. I suggest getting one. Also, super fun to shoot subsonic .22cb through it. They feed in the mag and are super quiet.

Don't have the 17, but I do have a CZ .22, 452 American. I liked the first one so much I bought another as a host for my sparrow. You can't go wrong with a CZ rimfire.

I have a 452 Lux in 22LR. Sweet arse gun, and is a tack driver. They aren't very popular, so I haven't seen an American version

Kind of dickish response. I don't know what owning it has to do with anything. I shot it and helped him sight it in this past weekend. Not to mention, I looked them up thoroughly before he purchased.

I have a American CZ 452 or 453 (can’t remember at the moment) .17HMR. Had a trigger job done right when I bought it. Took out the creep and dropped it to just below 2lbs. Love that gun! You can read reviews for days on rim fire centrals forum on CZ’s.

Did you put a scope on it? If so what mount and rings did you use?

Ive got a CZ 452 American in 22.

Its plenty accurate at 100. Ill have to shoot some groups and take pictures.

Its even better with a suppressor.

Mueller APT scope. It was on sale for $110, and I have been very happy with it. I have some see through rings. Can't remember who makes them, but I got them off of some airgun site.

It shoots 22 Thunderbolts better than any match ammo other than Federal Ultra Match, but it shoots both of them differently, so I've got to make adjustments on site for that.

I can sit there and crack off rounds all day long with zero problems. It really is a beautiful gun, in both form and function.

Eta: Can't remember the groups I get at 100, but I can definitely hit a 4" plate every shot (on a still day). At 25, it'll basically drop every round in the same hole

Get a 10rd mag

Very. It's a great gun. You can always buy a lilja barrel if you want to squeeze more out of it.
