Bush 43 should've put Blanco/Nagin in their place like Trump just did with San Juan Mayor

The state of Louisiana would've been better off as a whole if we had the President calling out state leaders for a shitty and incompetent response on the Governor and Mayor's part.

Instead he just let them blame their own incompetence on him and New Orleans and southeast Louisiana as a whole suffered for it. Fortunately it didn't work for them in the long run as Blanco was shamed beyond belief and and didn't bother running for reelection and Nagin went to prison like the criminal he really is.

Thanks to Donald Trump for establishing precedent that local leaders should not be allowed to blame their own terrible response and incompetence on far away and distant feds when they're doing everything they can.

It's mystifying to me how much you've thrown away your principles to worship Trump.

The mayor points out that the federal government has done shite compared to a bunch of private businesses. Trump, and you, attack her for that. She's completely right.

It's amazing.

I think she threw the first punch. The political stuff used to be put on the side burner. Now is different. Democrats were falling all over themselves hoping that we would lose in Iraq for example in a war most of them voted for.

It's mystifying to me how much you hate Trump and stuck to your so called principles so much you were willing to let Hillary Clinton win and appoint Scalia's replacement thereby turning SCOTUS into a leftist and judicial activist hellhole.

Good thing we prevented that in spite of holier than thou assholes like you.

Isn't that what conservatives are supposed to cheer on? Especially for an island as Keynesian as Puerto Rico is?

But still the big issue with Peurto Rico is that they have no infrastructure that can expedite delivery of supplies and that's because they're hopelessly corrupt and Keynesian.

That actually makes it worse and sums up his meek cowardice in a nutshell.

If Bush actually had something he wanted to say, he should've just fricking said it instead of hiding behind intermediaries.

Bush's cowardice was and still is a good example of how democrats have consistently won narrative wars against the GOP and made them completely toxic. Nobody respects losers who are afraid to say their piece.

I knew you'd like grandstanding pieces of shite like a mayor who whines about the president in a shirt made specially for the occasion.

How the frick did she whip that up and why would she waste precious effort on it?

The single time Christ got angry in the Bible was at the religious folks for being pompous asses

Inside of you is dead mens bones. Good luck with that when you face the same guy that said to those smug religious bastards: "therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation"

Agreed, Trump put that bitch in her place like a boss. W let it gather steam with Blanco and Nagin along with the help of the MSM and he lost the narrative. Typical cuck.

Time and place for everything.
As usual Trump is running his head like a high school drama queen. And all the mouth breathers are eating it up.

Sad!

At the time I thought Bush was being classy, and he was - but in hindsight he should not have been. I don’t think any President with an R behind their name can afford to let the media capture the narrative.

If you live on an island and your government is not prepared for this exact scenario, then they have failed.

We can debate if the Feds should've done more, but it would be splitting hairs. An island should expect to be "on its on" due to geography.
