Where? I drove from Broussard to Nunus yesterday and couldn't believe the amount of residential developments yet no apparent infrastructure improvements. It's all two lane roads in the middle of all this neighborhoods. Seems like quite a traffic problem in the near future.
Not knocking the area, just something that I noticed.

Well the parish is currently installing covered drainage on the sides of Verot School. I imagine the next step is widening the road.
They're also adding much needed turn lanes on Youngsville highway.
Also they just extended west Fairfield through to ambassador and Albertsons parkway. That will alleviate a lot of congestion on Youngsville highway and Ambassador. It should be opening any day now.
You can't just dig up all the streets in the parish at one time.
Baby steps are being made in the right direction.
Eta they just repaved a lot of roads too.

Fair enough and good to know. I took Morgan all the way to the roundabout then ended up turning on whatever the road is where IVS and QCP are located. I try to avoid Youngsville road.
Anyway, glad they have plans in the works. The development out there is impressive. Glad they are addressing the "growing pains"

It's bad in the morning. If you leave after 7 it takes you 15 minutes to get out of Youngsville. But like I said, there's plenty of room to make Youngsville highway a 4 lane road unlike the worst bottleneck in history known as Lee Dr just south of Perkins.

We are gonna build light rails over all those neighborhoods as soon as oil hits $100 again. Hide and watch.

Nope, but they keep LifeFlight'ing them off to get sewn up, patched up, and sent right back out to endanger self and other stupids over and over.

If they'll just get the stop lights removed from the Thruway between 10 and New Iberia, I'll be happy.
Oh and resurface the Thruway.

Problem is 339 and 89 are state roads that require state money to widen them

I agree but this is probably the wrong board for this.
