Can you elaborate on the significance of those numbers? Even if they are accurate, why does that matter in the grand scheme of Virginia?

There are a handful of Dem counties. Then there is everywhere else. High high turnout across the state leads one to reason Trump has a chance. A legit one.

Any idea of what percentage would need to increase on average in these non-Dem counties to make up the difference?

The problem with that is those few counties make up a large part of the population. A lot of people who work in Washington (included for the government), live in VA and in those few counties, and that group tends to vote Democrat.

The bet is there will be a high influx of first time voters in the more rural parts of the state to negate the influx of usual high turnout in the blue counties.
