Very true. I remember a dumb broad in my dorm studied for something like 16 hours, or so she said, and still posted a 39% on an exam.
I legit think there were people with down syndrome in some classes at LSU.

Your 18 year old son and his buddy didn't make enough money to buy pizza? Does he work?

LSU dorm move in was a breeze last fall. My freshman year moving into Hatcher was a lot less organized though.
I think there were assigned move in times but we just went very early, got up front parking and there were no problems except for a bitchy kid.

OP, you might want to call and check before making that haul. Things are pretty fluid around campus at the moment. Wife works on campus and they're still "partially closed" as of today.

1. Have a good lawyer on stand by for his inevitable regret sex rape case.
2. Do NOT attempt moving in on "move in" day. Parking, elevators, hallways, etc just aren't worth it.
3. Don't forget to get your kid a PO Box. Unless things have changed, you can't get or really TRUST deliveries to the dorms. Especially Amazon packages.
Also, warn him NOT to fill out any credit card applications that start arriving. Saw way too many freshmen get buried by debt so early on.
4. Don't video document every second. It's embarassing. I remember multiple parents videoing Little Johnny's 1st time pressing the elevator button or opening his suite door.
5. Make sure he has his health insurance card & knows where the Health Center is.

Forgot the mom crying, I'd be just as bad; already dreading that day.
Just took my daughter to her first day in her "big girl class" (2 year old) at daycare. I almost had to sprint to my car to keep from bawling.
I was good until she tightly put her head on my shoulder and said "I need to lay down for a minute, daddy"

Be sure he has money for food, even if you bought a meal plan. The first night at Southeastern, the cafeteria was closed and my son and roommate had to order pizza. Glad I gave him some cash.
Aww that's cute
In reality he spent that money on beer and weed his first night you can't buy that shite with tiger cash

These in particular are important.

I remember some kid in CMST 2060 was giving a speech and started sweating so profusely his pits were covered in sweat and the back of his button up shirt was drenched. Someone snickered in the audience and all of a sudden he ran out of the class. I've never seen anyone sweat as much as that kid in my life.

Try and avoid the Dindu's hanging outside the Circle K on Highland. They'll aggressively hit you up for cash.

bring an ice chest full of cold drinks - you'll need it.
hot and a lot of people doing the same thing as you - not enough AC to handle the amount of people.
