Headed out there next week and looking for some good local spots. Trying to avoid the chains and tourist traps.

Might be touristy, but I remember Captain Andersons having some damn fine seafood.

Publix for beer. They have a robust selection for being a grocery store.

Has a damn fine stuffed flounder.

We ate at Dee's Hangout. What we had was pretty solid, fried shrimp plate, grouper sandwich, blackened mahi, bang bang shrimp. Stay clear of the "charbroiled oysters", they cook them in a microwave. Also their jambalaya is wet, has tomatoes and the rice is white. Don't order anything "cajun" their and you should be fine.

We also ate at Five Guys which was just another burger joint. Had lunch at Marcos which is a chain pizza joint but the pizza was pretty good and they had a chick with one of the nicest asses I've seen working there.

We mostly cooked in the Condo, I think that's the only place we ate out at.

Don't go to publix for beer, selection is iffy. Go to wine world across 98 from Pier Park.

Wine World for beer. Place is awesome. Tap list and food at FishAles were impressive.

Head over the bridge and go to Hunt's. Damn good oysters and the seafood platter is legit- wait times can get pretty long in the tourist months, but worth it IMO.

Firefly was awesome. Probably one of the best meals I have had. It's in a shopping center and doesn't look the part from the outside but the ambiance, food, and service was top notch.

Make sure to get the She Crab Soup!

Also, for cheap bar food and a cool atmosphere, try The Wicked Wheel. We stop in every time we go to PCB.

Dat Cajun Place

Was just there this past week. We went twice while there. Decent po-boys, dam good oysters. Gumbo was no good, but everything else did it's job. Woman who owns it is from Houma.
