Best time to schedule an OK duck hunt.

When does OK heat up with the GHs and wigeon? We have to take our vacation or loose it and I am wanting to take a trip and thinking OK, most likely will be a couple weeks in early Dec when I can get off. Any other locations yal would recommend that would be good around that time?

Any time in decemeber IMO. Buddy went in late November and they were thick.

I would hunt late season west of I-35 if you are wanting to hit dry feeding mallards that are going back and forth to rivers. Don't come opening few weeks if you want mallards. A lot of times we don't start hammering them until Thanksgiving.

Okie split usually opens up about Dec.12th. First 10 days of December or so count on the split. Opening weekend second split for sure!

Have a buddy that's around Norman, I go up there late December or January.. The later the better.
