You'd stop going to games because of a jumbo tron, stop being dramatic. We've only had jumbo trons period for like 15 years at most
It's not being dramatic. It's about improving the Tiger stadium experience to get more people away from their HD TVs in their living rooms. Covering half of their new video boards with ads is a slap in the face to the fans. Hypothetically speaking if they do that. I don't think they will, but it wouldn't shock me. They're already having trouble getting fans to show up to small time OOC games and some conference games.

they sit outside in the weather for almost a year with no tarp cover at all
LSU has that much money floating around they can afford to have HD screens sitting outside for a year? Yet LSU is always crying poor. I'm guessing when the screens start flickering after the 4th home game they'll add on another parking fee surcharge.

I'm not going to criticize the current expansion project but I can't help but wonder how cool it would look have to kept the "coliseum" structure with all the editions over the years. I'm not an architect but why didn't LSU try to preserve that uniform look on all sides?

i really believe the currently unpainted concrete will end up being painted to match the rest of what has been painted. you can see them gradually painting the window frames right now.
Yea.. Nobody is talking about the unfinished SEZ. They are talking about the fact that the North, West, and south are all different colors.

given they just painted the entire concrete facade of the NEZ a year or two ago
So why not finish the SEZ the same color? That's why people bitch.

Sorry boys, I love my Tigers, but the stadium expansions have been designed by a bunch of monkeys fricking a football.
Weird that the first expansions of Tiger Stadium were designed to match back then.

That third picture is beautiful. They really fricked up the old look

I have never in my life seen or heard so many people being apoplectic over the exterior aesthetics of a fricking stadium. And it happens to be the best stadium in the country. Get over it.
I will gladly take this palatial behemoth as it is, if they would just renovate some of the academic buildings and dorms on campus that are falling apart.

I look at ts as I do a house. I really don't care about how nice a house looks from the outside. I care about the inside bc that's where I live and inside tiger stadium is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
AMEN

Keeping the original look would have required something called long term visionary planning. Not something Louisiana is known for.

I would hate for them to fix the west side of the stadium and ruin Jeremy Hill's new tattoo.
